So, after an early start this morning to turn in my last assignment (yay!), I headed over the The Art Gallery of South Australia. Granted I thought I was in the South Australia Museum the whole time ... turns out thats next door (my plan for tomorrow). Anyways, I'm lucky in that all most of the major landmarks are on North Terrace (literally next to Uni Adelaide), so I'll be working my way up the street. It was a lovely museum (free!) and I decided to forgo the guided tour and leisure at my own place with a notebook (I know, SO ARTISTIC). Anyways, they had a lot of Australian Art (displayed in chronological order) and a bit of European which was displayed thematically. I can't decide if I love or hated the thematic display , perhaps they were compensating for a lack of material, but either way I'd never seen anything like it... Ancient paintings next to new media, (i'm leaning towards love). Either way, I found the Australian work the most interesting, especially to watch both the style and landscape change.

Got a tea towel of this for my room
Room themed Seduction
Afterwards I took to trying to make sense of Rundle Mall (there are a lot of malls within the mall)... Which led to some interesting shortcuts.
Including Giant PASTA!
SA Museum and the Arcade tomorrow!
