So my zig zag adventure began from Adelaide to Sydney to meet my family. Sorry, I've been so slow to update and quite frankly I've probably forgot some things in my extended recuperation period. After some serious bag trauma at a very early hour, I was on the plane and officially done with my study abroad program. Which was pretty wild. But my responsibility wasn't over yet. I had to catch a taxi from the sydney airport to our hotel, then walk down through the city to meet my family at the customs house. Walking down to meet them in the same city I had started out in 5 months ago was pretty surreal. I felt like so much and so little had happened since last time I walked these streets. I mean, I had just spent 5 months going solo in Australia. And all I could think was "well, that happened". And as much as I was holding back tears walking down, I couldn't once I saw my mom slumped over her phone in the middle of customs house. It was quite dramatic, I could definitely feel the eyes of everybody on us. Anyways, my family was still a bit time-stoned so we just ended up walking around, GOING ON THE HABOUR BRIDGE finally. We also, coincidentally got one of the best family photos ever at a german restaurant. An early flight to Cairns tomorrow.
