So lift-off, I land in Auckland super late and though it was a struggle to find the shuttle service to the Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel, I finally made it. It was this janky hotel complete with a giant ceramic kiwi bird on the roof.
But exciting news! New Zealand has real Ketchup! Very exciting stuff. In Australia it's called and really is Tomato Sauce. I didn't realize just how much I missed the old 57. We watched a movie and went straight to bed. We had an early plane to catch in the morning to Queenstown.
The flight was fine, nothing to report. But just to get you excited about the next post, this is what I saw when I got off the plane and stepped onto the tarmac.
Ya. That's real. This was only the beginning Pretty much I dragged my jaw across Queenstown and New Zealand in general. The thing to note is that though some of the pictures did come out well, the glorious nature of New Zealand doesn't really translate to film. It's like a fairy tale/postcard. Furthermore, whatever creator you believe in, New Zealand is like a crazy cut/paste job of a country. Seriously, there would be a mountain, next to a prairie, next to a swamp and then there would be a beach. Have of the marvel of the trip was just seeing the panorama of these next to each other. On that note, our week trip to NZ!
